Marist at The Citadel

Citadel Coach Duggr Baucom has brought some excitement to the Citadel program. He plays a lot of kids, doesn't clamp down on defense, and runs and hoists three-pointers. The Bulldogs average launching 40 shots from beyond the arc at home per contest, and their games are exciting. That does not bode well for a Marist team that is allowing 38% shooting from beyond the arc. Marist is off to a troubling start as well, as the Red Foxes are 0-6 despite winnable games vs. Lehigh, UMass-Lowell, and Army. It will be easy for these kids to get overwhelmed by something they have rarely seen and playing at a pace that they have not been involved in before, and a lack of depth will deliver the killer blow late in the contest.
