It's the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship from Atlantic City. Marist is quite the surprise team to get here after finishing last in the conference (6-14) during the regular season. Marist was able to knock off No. 3 seed Quinnipiac, a team that was just 11-9 in conference play, then got a favorable matchup against Saint Peter's, the second-worst team in the conference at 7-13. Marist is ninth in the 11-team conference in scoring and shooting (.412%) and is one of the worst from the charity stripe (.694%). Marist is 8-18 ATS after playing a game as a favorite, plus 0-8 ATS as a neutral court dog of 12.5 to 18 points. No. 1 seed Iona has been in the championship game in 10 of the last 13 seasons. Iona is No. 1 in the conference in scoring (76.4 ppg), shooting (.463%), and field goal defense, plus is second in points allowed (65.3 ppg). Iona is 15-6 ATS at neutral court sites and 30-16 ATS away from home after allowing 65 or fewer points in back-to-back games. And Iona whipped Marist in two meetings this season, 84-57 and 93-74. Play Iona.
