The Marist Red Foxes have won just 15 games over the last three years, so seeing them in the role of a huge dog is no surprise. Typically what happens with bad teams is that the oddsmakers are forced to keep adding to the pointspreads. The team slowly improves, resulting in overlays. Marist has not won many, but they aren't measured by the 4-19 mark here, they are measured by their viability as a dog, and they have been a profitable 9-4 ATS in their last 15 in that role. Last time out Canisius was a double-digit dog, and now in a role reversal as a double-digit favorite, which is usually a “sell” sign. Then Golden Griffins aren't exactly providing winners at home as a favorite where they have burnt their backers to the tune of 8-17 ATS in their last 25. I’m on Marist to cover this huge spread.
