Manhattan at Fordham

Two struggling teams match up here, but Fordham has at least two things going for it in point guard Joseph Chartouny, who was among the leaders in steals last year, and Will Tavares, who scored 19 points to lead the Rams against Tulane last Sunday. Manhattan comes off a 10-22 season, and the Jaspers have lost three straight, including 70-68 to Northern Illinois on Wednesday in the Gulf Coast Showcase when they shot 48.1 percent, but it wasn't enough to hold off the Huskies. Rich Williams led Manhattan with 24 points and Pauly Paulicap added 17 points with eight rebounds in the losing effort.
