LSU blew a big lead in the second half against Maryland, but was saved by point guard Tremont Waters, who scored on a driving layup with 1.6 seconds remaining to give the Tigers a 69-67 win. Skylar Mays led the Tigers with 16 points and hit a clutch three-pointer to give his team a three-point lead with 32 seconds left. With Waters on their team, the Tigers feel they can beat anyone and they have won seven of their last eight, including two overtime wins over Tennessee and Florida. Michigan State responded to coach Tom Izzo's maniacal antics in the game against Bradley with a 70-50 win over Minnesota, which was fortunate to make the tournament in the first place. LSU will be a different story as it is 8-2 ATS its last 10 games against teams with .600 or better winning percentages and the Spartans are 1-4 ATS their last five NCAA Tournament games. Look for this matchup to go to the wire and grab the points with LSU.
