Louisville at Purdue

Purdue is missing a couple of important things from this year's team. That is Carl Landry and David Teague. Purdue has a lot of new faces, from an outstanding recruiting core, but this team has a long way to go to be favored vs a very good Louisville team. They have amassed five home wins vs complete creampuffs, and struggled vs 4-5 Lipscomb to pull out a late win. The five wins were all at home are vs teams with a combined record of 15-26. But more importantly those teams are 2-17 on the road, with four of the teams winless on the road. This team has depth by default, because they just don't have the go-to guy, and have no inside presence. They are going to live and die by the jump shot, and even against poor competition they have been out-shot, and getting ripped apart from 3 at a 42.5% clip. This is an injured but deep Louisville team, so don't feel sorry for Rick Pitino. Derrick Caracter has been suspended yet again, to add to the list. The Cardinal are defending very well, allowing just 36% which will frustrate a young Purdue team, that isn't scoring well. Louisville gets the win here.
