Long Beach State at UCLA

Long Beach State, as it has done in recent seasons, went on the road to begin the season and played some of the best teams in the country, and once again, got clobbered in each one with the last two games staying UNDER the total. The 49ers lost to Wichita State, North Carolina, and Louisville, and are shooting a paltry 32.5 percent from the field this season, and just 21.9 percent from three-point range while averaging 59.3 points per game.  Evan Payne led Long Beach with only 15 points against Louisville while Gabe Levin was the only other player in double figures with 12. UCLA is 3-0 against some weaker competition, including an 88-68 win over San Diego on Thursday. UCLA held the Toreros to 33.3 percent shooting and are holding opponents to 41.5 percent on the season.
