Long Beach State at Louisville

Louisville isn't in mid-season form offensively but the defense is suffocating opponents, as usual. They had a 78-47 season-opening victory over Evansville on Friday and held William & Mary to 58 points the last game. The Cardinals have 21 blocks in two games, led by forward Mangok Mathiang's seven, along with 20 steals. Louisville is 25-9-2 UNDER the total at home. That smothering defense will be a huge problem for road-weary Long Beach State. The 49ers trailed North Carolina 14-0 and went nearly eight minutes before scoring their first points.
