It is going to be a long season for the Cal Poly Mustangs. They have no depth to speak of, rotate six players, and after that the talent level diminishes in a hurry. The offense is plagued by scoring droughts with three of the top six scorers shooting 33% from the field or less, and the three-point shooting is even worse. Long Beach comes in off a confidence building 16-point win as a 7-point dog vs. UC Santa Barbara, and also owns wins vs. a tough Boise State team, and Big-10 Iowa has fallen as well. The 49ers feature five double-digit scorers and can get points from anywhere, while the Mustangs struggle. LBS is 23-7 in their last 30 games as a road favorite. They are also 8-1 straight-up the past three seasons on the road vs. bad teams (those at .400 or worse). I'll opt for Long Beach on the moneyline.
