Liberty vs. Virginia Tech

Liberty erased a 10-point deficit and stunned Mississippi State 80-76 on Friday to improve to 29-6 straight-up and 18-14 ATS this season and the Flames now have won six games in a row and have covered four of their last five. Liberty is an excellent shooting team with a .483 field goal percentage overall and .371 from three-point distance. Caleb Homesley scored 22 of his 30 points in the second half and Lovell Cabbil added 18 points, including the go-ahead three-pointer with a little more than a minute remaining. Virginia Tech got the win against poor-shooting St. Louis, but the Flames will provide a much stiffer test defensively for the Hokies. It was the first NCAA Tournament win in 12 years for Virginia Tech. Liberty is 9-4 ATS its last 13 non-conference games and the Hokies have covered just two of their last seven versus teams with at least .600 winning percentages.
