Washington led the Wildcats with 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds against Vermont and Hamidou Diallo added 16 points, but Kentucky won it at the foul line where they made 11 more free throws than the Catamounts. Kansas destroyed Tennessee State 92-56 while shooting 60.0 percent and Devonte' Graham scored 10 points and dished out 10 assists while Legerald Vick scored a team-leading 23 points.
