Jacksonville State at Murray State

Jacksonville State managed a quick turnaround as they finished 16-13 last year. But losing your best player and PG does not bode well on the road. Murray State has played a brutal early schedule, and has not faced a D-1A opponent at home this season. Shawn Witherspoon is the leading returning scorer, but the good news is he is doing well, but two others are posting better numbers than him, adding depth to a team at first thought short of scoring punch. Bruce Carter, and Tyler Holloway have posted double digit scoring averages to give Murray a trio of scorers. This is a tough team to beat on its home court as they have dropped just 4 conference games here in 4 years, and none last year. This being their firsst true home game, and a conference game to boot, does not bode well for Jacksonville State.
