Rick Pitino's Iona Gael's come off of a 25-win campaign and blew out Penn in the opener, 78-50. Iona made the NIT last year and two years ago won the MAAC tournament title and qualified for the NCAA Tournament in Pitino's first year. The backcourt is outstanding while junior forward Nelly Junior Joseph had 13 points and 10 boards in the opener. Iona is 11-2 ATS in non-conference tilts, as well as 78-55 ATS on the road after a double-digit win. And Pitino is 72-50 ATS away from home after allowing 60 points or fewer. Hofstra's defense beyond the arc is a matchup problem for this game. Last year, the Pride allowed teams to shoot 38.3% from long range. And Hofstra is 7-19 ATS at home after a road game where both teams scored 75 points. Play Iona.
