Iona at Dayton

Metro Atlantic Iona heads to Ohio tonight to take on the Dayton Flyers. The oddsmakers are anticipating a shootout, but I don't think it materializes in this spot. The Flyers are gritty on the defensive end, and have held some mediocre teams in the 50s (four times), and their toughest opponents Baylor, Cal, Georgia Tech, and Gonzaga all were held to under 80 points at an average of just 70.5 points per game. Iona's mantra is to get up and down the floor, but stepping up as they did vs. Kansas resulted in just 66 points, and Dayton has proven to play defense enough to limit Iona here. The Gaels are 9-1 to the UNDER after suffering a 10+ point home loss, and 5-1 to the UNDER in their last six vs. a winning club.
