The Missouri Valley had a pair of teams that were supposed to battle it out in Wichita State and Missouri State. Emerging unexpectedly was Indiana State to grab the bid. The Sycamores didn't get here via the Larry Bird version, as their top scorer averages only 11 points per game. That in and of itself says the defensive end of the court is where this team thrives. The proof lies within the fact that they swept their three MVC Tourney games without scoring more than 61 points. The Syracuse zone is legendary and the Sycamores, who are offensively challenged, will struggle to score. They will use a lot of the shot clock as they do anyway. Indiana State has played five straight to the UNDER on a neutral court, and this one follows suit and stays UNDER the total.
