Illinois State vs. Northern Iowa

The Northern Iowa Panthers took on a very aggressive non-conference schedule where they took on the likes of Louisville, UNLV, Stanford, Memphis, and St. Mary's. The schedule kept the record down at 18-1, but they were able to beat the top teams in the conference in Wichita State and Creighton. Illinois State really struggled down the stretch where they lost four of their last five games. The Panthers had their number in both meetings in the regular season winning by 8 and 12 points.
