Illinois State at Mississippi

One can only project after watching Mississippi State struggle against Umass last night, losing at home, that another 20 win SEC team may consider the NIT an after thought as well. That is dangerous vs. an Illinois State team that found the winning side 20 times and just missed upsetting Creighton in an overtime loss in the MVC finals. They beat Wichita State preceding the Creighton game, so this team is playing at a high level right now. A great opportunity to take down a power conference team and the Redbirds have been up to the task against good teams at 9-4 ATS vs. teams better than .600. The Rebels have faded down the stretch at 7-7 when they needed to win and are unlikely to show anything more here. Play on Illinois State.
