Illinois State at Bowling Green

Bowling Green comes into this game virtually untested, and yet is just 4-4 on the season. They have shot fairly well, but have yet to see defensive dynamics that the Redbirds employ, holding opponents to 38% FG shooting and a stingy 28% from beyond the arc. It's the same old story at Bowling Green, as last year they cleaned up on early cupcakes at 9-3, only to finish 4-14. Two years ago they started fiesting on cupcakes but only 5-6, and again 4-14 the rest of the way. The Redbirds are no cupcake. Tim Jankovich's arrival at Illinois State means more wins, and that comes from his peers in the league. Five of top six return, and they are simply better at each position, and have the experience to not get caught on the road by an incompetent Bowling Green five. The Redbirds soar to a comfortable win here.
