Western Illinois returns Garret Covington, who averaged 15.5 points per game, J.C. Fuller and Jabari Sandifer, so the Leathernecks are set in the backcourt. They also return two players that missed most of last season with injuries in Mike Miklusak and Tate Stensgard. Western Illinois won its first game against little known Hannibal Lagrange College 94-57 as Covington, Fuller and Sandifer combined for 40 points. The Leathernecks shot 54.5 percent from the field. Western Illinois would like to avenge a 67-64 loss to UIC last season. Illinois Chicago is in a rebuilding year and lost 78-75 to San Francisco on Friday while shooting only 36.8 percent.
