Harvard vs. Vanderbilt

The Ivy League has not represented itself very well lately in the NCAA Tournament, but this Harvard team will be their best chance in a longtime. Tommy Amaker has assembled a team that is talented and athletic, and plays defense as well as any major conference team, despite lacking a consistent scoring punch. This is a team that did not allow a single opponent all season to top the 70-point mark. They faced three power-conference teams, two of which are in the tournament in Florida State, and UConn, and held the three teams to 59 points per game. Vanderbilt won 24 games this season - none bigger than their SEC Championship win over the best team in the country in Kentucky. They did it with a swarming defensive effort that saw their three opponents score 52.7 points per game. The Crimson are 7-1 to the UNDER vs. better than .600 opponents, while Vandy comes in at 6-1 to the UNDER following a win, and 7-2-1 to the UNDER as a neutral-site favorite. Play the UNDER.
