Gonzaga lost some key pieces last year, and took another blow when Josh Heytvelt underwent surgery (will miss about six weeks). This will be the first true road game for the Zags, and they are led by a freshman Austin Daye. Jeremy Pargo has done a good job finding teammates as he has 32 assists, but he has also turned the ball over 26 times and that has been a problem. The biggest difference for St. Joe's this year has been the play of Tasheed Carr, a transfer from Iowa State. Carr is scoring in double-digits, but truly has answered the bell at the point. Carr has 41 assists, to just 10 turnovers. This is a tough team to beat on their home-court, especially with a marquis team coming in, that will get its first true test. They also have a game on-deck with Uconn. St. Joe's has enough talent to win this one, and will back them here.
