Georgia Southern at San Jose State

Georgia Southern will open its season on the West Coast as they take on San Jose St. The Spartans have been awful for the last five seasons, but they won eight games a year ago which is a five-year high. Georgia Southern was just 13-16 a year ago and finished near the bottom of the Sun Belt Conference. San Jose returns some solid players and started last season outside the conference at 7-5, but was not up to Mountain West standards where they finished 1-17. This is one of those winnable games at home vs. a team from an inferior conference where the Spartans fared much better. Make the play on San Jose St.
