The once-termed "Mildcats" at 7-9 early-on, are playing like Wildcats again as the healthier this team becomes, the better they have played. They are 6-1 in their last seven, which has moved them to 7-3 in SEC play and has boosted their RPI up to 73rd, closing in on the bubble. The Bulldogs are going the other way, as after an 11-5 start, they have gone 1-6 in their last seven, and have just one SEC road game where they have hung within double-digits. Kentucky is clamping down at the defensive end, allowing just 39%, while stickin it at the offensive end at 47%, and hitting over 75% from the line. That's good for a #14 national rank as this team is missing no opportunities. The Dogs are hitting just 61.9% of their free throws on the SEC road, and in their last five road games overall have turned the ball over 86 times, or 17.2 per game. Their stagnant offense shows just 33 assists in four SEC road games, on 90 made hoops! Those 33 assists are to 66 turnovers, and that is a recipe for disaster, especially vs. a hot Kentucky team.
