Two excellent defenses clash here and thus we see a low total of 122. But the Hoyas’ defense has shown signs of being mediocre. Against non-conference teams in games that weren't even lined, the Hoyas kept foes down. But once they started facing decent teams, their defense has been average. In their first five games (only one lined), Georgetown held opponents to 52.2 points per game. But, over the past five games, they are giving up 64.2 per game. DePaul has already given up 65+ points in five games this season, despite having a handful of real cupcakes on their schedule (Columbia, Detroit, American, Texas State and Florida Gulf Western). The bottom line is that the defensive stats are skewed. While they are good, they aren't this good. DePaul is 11-3 OVER the past three seasons at home vs. teams that allow 42% or worse shooting. I like this one to go OVER the total.
