Florida State has turned things around winning four of its last five games after a five-game losing streak and beating Davidson 84-74 in the first round of the NIT. Valparaiso beat Texas Southern 84-73 as Alec Peters poured in 28 points and the Crusaders shot 49.2 percent from the field. Valparaiso lost in overtime to Green Bay in the Horizon League semifinals.
