Evansville at Northern Iowa

The Northern Iowa Panthers were a 30-win team last season. Although they lost some punch, the depth on the bench (which has become this year's starters) as well as a couple holdovers has not left this team bankrupt of talent. The Purple Aces finished last in the MVC last year, and although they may be marginally improved, they have not bridged the gap here much, especially playing on the road. You have to go back to January of '09 to find the last time the Purple Aces won a game on the road without overtime, and that was a 3-point win. The Panthers have put together a nifty 26-8 ATS mark vs. teams with a winning record in their last 34, and have followed an ATS win by going 14-6 ATS in their next game. I'll ride with Northern Iowa.
