Eastern Kentucky at Western Kentucky

Eastern Kentucky won last year's meeting 78-59 as a one-point favorite and return Nick Mayo from that squad and he was a first-team all-conference player in the Ohio Valley while averaging 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.  Mayo scored 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds in the Colonels' win over tiny Asbury College on Saturday and Peyton Broughton scored a team-leading 21 points. Two years ago Eastern Kentucky gave the Hilltoppers another tough battle losing 86-84 as a 6.5-point underdog and both teams this season are holding opponents to nearly 44 percent from the floor. Western Kentucky comes off a 63-61 win over SMU in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament on Friday with Lamonte Bearden leading the Hilltoppers with 14 points.
