Duquesne at Rice

Rice begins the post Morris Almond era and the cupboard is definitely bare. Rice could manage no better than a .500 mark with Almond and they won't even come close without him. What is left behind is a cast of players, none of which averaged more than seven points a game. Their 24% shooting performance, where they made only 13 baskets to 19 turnovers against TCU is very telling. Duquesne is a team that uses everyone, with 10 players getting 10 minutes or more. They are getting 22.5 turnovers a game and can score in a hurry. There is just too much depth and firepower on the court for Duquesne, and Rice just doesn't have many answers. This one could get away early.
