St. Louis was a 20-win team from last year that was left home. They decided to bring in Rick Majerus and you can bet St. Louis will make a leap forward because the man can recruit and coach. He inherits five of the top six players, and the biggest weakness coming in appeared to be lacking an inside presence. That has been answered by JUCO transfer Barry Eberhardt. Eberhardt is a 250 LB. 6'-6" player that can play inside or out and has already caused matchup problems. He has averaged 9.3 points per game and 4.7 boards. Kevin Lisch has 125 three-pointers to his credit as well as being a lockdown guard, as he was an All-Defensive team selection in the A-10 last season. Detroit had their worst season since 1991, and G Brandon Bell chose not to return for his SR. year, and Ryvon Covile graduated taking his 13.7-ppg and 10.6-rpg with him. The Titans have some other issues, and that is with leading scorer Brandon Cotton who was suspended, but reinstated last Thursday, but did not show up for the game against Kent St. on Saturday. Perry Watson declined comment on the issue. We like St. Louis to win this one rather easily against a young and inexperienced Detroit team that is playing on the road for the first time.
