We like taking teams early that have motivational reasons to get things going early in the season. That is the case with Dayton. A 19-win season, flanked by several wins over NCAA Tournament teams, and they got snubbed by the NIT. This team is deeper, has experience, and has a Top 50 recruit in 6'-8" Chris Wright. Wright made an immediate impact posting 22 points, 13 boards and three blocks in the opener. He is a great compliment to one of the top scorers in the A-10 in Brian Roberts, who netted 31 in the opener. They also have last year's FR sensation PG Marcus Johnson. Johnson went down last year with an ankle injury and had 11 in the opener. George Mason has struggled offensively against two very mediocre teams, connecting on just 36%. Dayton has plenty of offense inside and out to stay within striking distance here. We will ride the Flyers, who could spring the upset.
