Davidson vs. North Carolina

The Davidson Wildcats get an opportunity to play the state's most glorified program, taking on the North Carolina Tar Heels. Davidson may be a tough opponent for the Heels, who have had a problem defending at the rim, but they won't be facing that issue vs. the Wildcats, who lead the nation with 13.8 made three-pointers per contest. The Tar Heels have the superior athletes and speed to defend against the three-pointers, especially with little threat of Davidson scoring inside. North Carolina has had to replace a lot of scoring with just two starters returning, and will likely be looking at a zone defense for much of this game. That will result in taking longer to work through offensive sets, and new to a young team. I think the Wildcats are going to hold the ball some to try to force Carolina to work through the zone, resulting a lot fewer opportunities to overcome a high total. Play on the UNDER.
