Not very often will you find a Southern Conference team on the road against a mid-major that is favored. One of the reasons for this line tonight is that everyone is back from a team that went 29-5 last year including Stephen Curry. Curry is averaging 25.5 points per game and shooting nearly 50% from the floor. Jason Richards is a bona fide PG at nine assists per contest. Curry poured-in 24 points against NC, and despite a horrific shooting night the Wildcats came within four points of the upset. Western Michigan is a very good, experienced team, but in spite of that, they are getting out scored this season, shooting only 43%. Two epic struggles against Loyola-Chicago (63-61, and Detroit 60-59), show this team has not found itself yet, and Davidson has both the best player and the best team on the court tonight.
