Dartmouth is a big dog here, but they’re a defensive team that is capable of slowing things down. They topped Longwood in their last game, slowing them to just 53 points. They face an Elon squad that shoots just 41% from the field, relying on shooting from long range. The Dartmouth defense has done well this year in limiting three-pointers. The opposition is shooting just 26.2% from downtown, the No. 25 lowest mark in the country. Elon Head Coach Matt Matheny is in his fourth year at the helm of the Phoenix, having posted a record of just 43-59. And one of those losses was last year to this Dartmouth team, 62-54. The Phoenix were 7-2 when they came to Hanover last year, but Dartmouth’s 6’8” Gabas Maldunas (who is still with the team) tore them up with a game-high 17 points and 10 rebounds. Elon shot just 29% from the field while the Big Green won the rebounding battle 42-35, making this a great spot for the big dog. The Big Green are 7-1-1 ATS on the road against a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600, and are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a winning record. Elon is just 8-18 ATS in their last 26 games. Play Dartmouth.
