Cornell at Syracuse

Adrian Autry has huge shoes to fill following Jim Boeheim's retirement, but the new Syracuse coach is off to a decent start with a 4-3 record against some tough competition. The three losses have been to likely NCAA Tournament teams in Tennessee, Gonzaga and Virginia. The Orange won last year's meeting 78-63 and covered by 7.5 points. Cornell is 6-1 straight up, but just 3-4 ATS while playing a relatively weak schedule and the Big Red did not cover the number while defeating Lafayette 79-71 on Saturday. Cornell is 2-10 ATS its past 12 games versus teams with winning records and 2-8 ATS overall following an ATS loss. Also, Colgate is 2-9 ATS its past 11 road contests. Cornell has gone OVER four of its past five games and Syracuse is 5-1 OVER after losing by at least 20 points. The Big Red shoots 51.3 percent from the field, but the Orange has the overall better talent. Take Syracuse to cover, and play the OVER.
