Connecticut vs. Syracuse

These programs are long time rivals with each other, back to the days when UConn was part of the Big East. The Huskies have really suffered from the injury bug as top freshman Alterique Gilbert and former VCU transfer, Terry Larrier, are both out for the season. Add in freshman Mamidou Diarra, also being red-shirted because of a back injury, and Kevin Ollie has just eight scholarship players left. UConn has already lost to the likes of Wagner and Northeastern, and barely slipped past BU their last time out. Syracuse is going to utilize their patented zone that has limited five of their seven opponents to 40% shooting or less and try to run the Huskies, who have very little help on the bench. The Garden has been good for UConn, but they just don't have the horses tonight. Make the play on Syracuse.
