Cleveland State at Delaware

The road has been a rocky one at Cleveland St. The program has made giant leaps forward since losing 23 straight to end the 03-04 season. The win column has been increasing slowly each year, finally notching a 10 win season last year. This year they still remain a long way from the top of their conference, but are poised to add again to the win column. Delaware seems to be one thing: consistent. But unfortunately consistently bad, and this year may be the worst of all. Former St. Joe's assistant Monte Ross takes over a program that is in need of help, and although he may be the right man for the program, he is going to take his lumps this year. Delaware is shooting just 39% from the floor and 26% from beyond the arc. What is worse is their pourous defense. They are at the bottom of division 1 allowing 55% FG% against, and an amazing 46% behind the arc! Hard to win when you can't throw the ball in the ocean, and the opponents are scoring at will. We will take a revitalized Cleveland St. program vs a confidence beaten Delaware team. Delaware has no homecourt advantage winning just 4 of their last 14 at home, and 0-2 this year.
