No. 10 Cincinnati had a relatively easy early-season schedule with a 12-0 start, then stumbled when the going got tough, finishing just 9-9 in the Big East. They've lost eight of their last 14 games and got smoked by Georgetown in the Big East tourney, a 62-43 loss. The Bearcats are a weak offensive team, shooting 40% as a team and went 2-7 on the season against ranked teams. Creighton was the power of the Missouri Valley Conference, winning the tourney title with three straight wins. The Blue Jays have no such offensive problems, leading the nation in shooting from both the field at .508% and 3-point range behind 6-8 junior Doug McDermott. He shoots 56.1% from the field, and 49.7% from 3-point range! While the offense sizzles, the defense is also great at No. 2 in the MVC in field goal shooting defense, allowing 40.7%. This team scored 84 on defensive-oriented Wisconsin and won at Nebraska of the Big 10, 64-42. This will be Creighton’s ninth trip to the Big Dance in the past 15 years and second consecutive in the NCAA Tournament - no jangled nerves for this talented group. Take Creighton on the Moneyline.
