The Furman Paladins hope to challenge in the Southern Conference this season, as Davidson is down. Another Southern Conference foe, Charleston, may have something to say about it. Charleston is road tested as this will be their eighth road game of the season, and Bobby Cremins has himself a good team. They went on the road in three tough buildings and came out a winner by 13 at Tennessee, lost by just 5 at Chapel Hill and lost to Maryland by a single point. Andrew Goudelock is a big-time player at 22.9 points per game, and averaged 28.7 ppg against the three top opponents mentioned above, so he is a big game player and the 10-3 Paladins will get his attention. You gotta love having the best player on the court in an anticipated close game to take over down the stretch. I'll go with Charleston.
