Utah obviously is the much better team, but the Utes' offense isn't conducive to covering big numbers such as this one as they average only 70.8 points and a .445 field goal percentage overall and .349 from 3-point range. Also, California allows 68.3 points per game, which is decent, it's just the offense that has been their main problem this season. California covered as a 16-point underdog at Colorado on Thursday and held the Buffaloes to 38 percent shooting, and that is a good example of the Bears' season so far. The Golden Bears are 5-1 ATS the past six meetings and they held the Utes to 58 points in December. California has covered five of seven on the road, and Utah is just 9-17 ATS off a loss since the start of last season. The Utes have lost two straight, they don't respond well in this situation, and this line looks like an overlay. Take the big points with California.
