California Davis at Santa Clara

Santa Clara has a new coach in Herb Sendek and it returns five starters, including Jared Brownridge, the WCC's leading scorer last season. Brownridge scored 14 points in a 67-64 win over Northern Arizona in the Cable Car Classic on Friday, and Jarvis Pugh led the Broncos with 20 points. Santa Clara held NAU to just 33.9 percent shooting. UC Davis lost three starters from last year's squad, including two of their top scorers, Josh Fox and Neal Monson. The Aggies lost 78-64 to Tennessee State last night with Siler Schneider scoring 22 points and Chima Moneke pulling down 14 rebounds. However, UC Davis shot only 37.7 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from the free throw line.
