BYU at Pepperdine

The Pepperdine Waves once stood out as the premier program in the West Coast Conference, in fact they were one of the casualties to the Jim Valvano team that won it all many years ago. Pepperdine may never get back to those days, but the program is on the move and at 12-7 on the season present a real challenge at home against the BYU Cougars. BYU has been up and down, and after a thrilling one-point win at Gonzaga they went to Portland as a -9.5 point favorite, and gave the game right back. The Cougars have issues defending, as 9 of their last 12 opponents have shot 45% or better against them. The Waves are on the improve, and have won five of their last six, and the offense has produced back to back 50% or better shooting nights, and BYU simply doesn't defend. We have a small upset brewing in the West Coast Conference, so play on Pepperdine.
