This is a revival of an old rivalry as both BYU and Hawaii were once conference foes in the WAC, but BYU moved onto the Mountain West when it was formed, so this will be their first meeting since 1999. BYU has a well known advantage at home in Provo, but are certainly much more vulnerable on the road. With the kids coming to the big island for the first time, the only thing that can happen is nothing, or they are distracted by the vacation atmosphere. The Cougars have to be concerned by the start of star player Jonothan Tavernari, who is averaging just 8.5 points per game and shooting just 23.3% from the floor. The Cougars may be able to get away with that at home, but on the road laying double-digits in a dangerous venue could be disastrous. I'll go with Hawaii here to stay close.
