The other huge surprise on Friday kame from Bradley who beat Kansas wire-to-wire. I had Kansas going to the Final Four so I was way wrong on that one. But, my bracket is alive and well as virtually no one picked Bradley in that first round game. Now they face Pittsburgh who easily handled Kent State, winning by 15 points. Bradley showed how underrated the Missouri Valley Conference is. No one, including the selection committe, gave this conference enough props despiute their great RPI. The Shockers shocked Tennessee yesterday to advance to the Sweet 16 and now Bradley hopes to do the same. If a MVC team can knock off a #2, Bradley can pull this one off. Marcellus Sommerville can score on anyone, including Pitt. Bradley is 14-5 ATS this seaon vs. very good defenses (those that hold opponents under 42% shooting). The only common opponent shared this season was DePaul. Pittsburgh lost to DePaul 65-73 while Bradley beat them 75-60. Hmm. I've been a big fan of the Big East this season but in this case I think it's the MVC that isn't getting due respect. Two stars on Bradley plus the points.
