The NIT Season Tip-off gets underway in Philadelphia tonight. Karl Hobbs had things going for a few years at GW, but his teams have fallen off the past few years. Northeastern prevailed vs. BU in their opener in a tough 66-64 defeat. These teams met in a half-court game a year ago that was played in the 120s and I'm surprised to see this one approaching the 140 mark. George Washington is the surprising underdog here, showing just how much the program has gone down. They have posted a 6-1 mark to the UNDER in their last seven as a neutral-site dog. While Coach Hobbs doesn't have the firepower, he is from the Jim Calhoun UConn Husky program, stressing defense. I look for this to be a defensive struggle and will play on the UNDER.
