The Baylor Bears will meet the Penn State Nittany Lions for the NIT Championship at Madison Square Garden. The Bears ended the season looking like a team defeated and ready for an early exit in the Big-12 Championship round. They had lost 10 of 12 games, but got the magic back. They won the first three and got all the way to the Championship game, before bowing out to Missouri. The Bears have had a strange season. They sandwiched a 19-2 mark around a 5-12 mark. They are playing at their highest level of the season right now, and have been 14-3 ATS in their last 17 on a neutral court. Penn St. is rolling as well and has not been challenged since the NIT opener vs. George Mason that they won in overtime. They have certainly not been a good team as a small underdog as they are 6-17-1 ATS as a dog up to 6.5. I look for Baylor to cut down the nets in the Garden tonight.
