Ball State lost 8 in a row and then have started playing much better essentially playing .500 ball since January 21. Recently, they have had some tough losses at home losing by a total of 7 points. Furthermore, they would have covered the spread the last 10 of 11 ball games they would have played against this spread. I’m not saying this team beats Toledo, but then again, these teams records are deceiving as this team beat Toledo last time at home by 13 and now are dogged by 9 points – an essential 22.5 point home court advantage for Toledo. The point is that this team is dogged by so much b/c of their 7-15 record but they have played .500 ball of late as we have seen. Toledo has been playing incredibly well of late wining their last 6 of 9 ball games and their last 4 home games. Keep in mind though that this team lost to Detroit by 2, a team that is very similar to the away ranking of Ball State and how well they’ve played of late. Yes, Toledo won by double digits against Eastern Michigan, and yes Toledo bet Kent at home by double digits. However, this is not Kent as I don’t think they get up for it as much, but it is a revenge game. Both teams are playing well of late now, and I think Toledo gets the revenge, but getting 9.5 points on a total of 126 here on a live dog is great value and I’ll take it. Two stars on Ball State.
