Auburn at Central Florida

Central Florida plays its opener, off a 16-14 campaign with a losing conference record (7-11). They lost their leading scorer, along with their most experienced player, forward Collin Smith (12.6 points, 6.3 rebounds per game), who has decided to sit out the season for health reasons. He has started 62 of a possible 63 games. They face an Auburn squad that is playing its third game in five days. Auburn coach Bruce Pearl has built a fine program, off of a 25-6 campaign along with a Cinderella run to the Final Four in 2019 as a five-seed.
