These teams will match-up at The cable Car Classic in Santa Clara, Cal. George Washington had a breakout season last year, and has returned enough talent to be in the A-10 this year. Air Force has just been blowing away everyone in their path, unless your name is Duke. This program has made a remarkable turnaround under Jeff Bzdelik. What was once a laughing stock, is now an NCAA caliber team. The numbers are scary. Air Force doesn't have a go-to guy, they have 5 starters that can shoot the lights out, and then bring a bunch more off the bench with equal marksmanship. There are 14 players on this team that have hit 3's, and a stunning 9 that hit them, at over 40%. The top 4 combine to shoot 88-180 for an unbelievable 49%. They have 5 others that come in and average 50%! They have so many weapons that they are virtually impossible to defend, and yet defensively they limit opponents to 40% shooting. George Washington has not had many tests early on, and when they have, they have shown they are not even close to the same level as last year's team. They lost at Providence by 19, and at USC by 9, neither of which are the caliber of this Air Force team. We will give the points in this one.
