Houston was hampered by injuries last year and the most devastating was Deshaun Watson tearing an ACL after seven stellar games. Watson threw for 1,699 yards and 19 touchdowns and ran for 269 yards and two TDs. Also returning is three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year in J.J. Watt, who played just eight games the last two years due to a back injury and then a broken leg. Watt compiled 38 sacks and 116 tackles in 2014-15. The teams played a memorable game last September when New England was down by five points with a little more than two minutes remaining and Tom Brady took the Patriots 75 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown pass to Brandin Cooks and then hit Cooks for the 2-point conversion and the Pats won 36-33. Watson finished 22-of-33 for 301 yards with two touchdowns and solidified his starting QB spot. The Patriots are just 1-4 ATS their last five Week 1 games and Houston has covered five of its last seven September games. New England did not look too great in preseason and may have a post-Super Bowl loss hangover. Grab the points with the Texans.
