Top pick: #7 (MEGASTAR) (4-1) - He's one of two entered by the leading trainer at this meet (Bob Diodoro), and the pair race uncoupled. Veteran gelding finished second here on Oct. 25th in his first since early August. He likes this course (3-1-2-0), and he draws outside of the speed types. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Causeithertz) (3-1) - The second of the Diodoro pair, he has excellent early speed and was a "neck" back of barn-mate "Megastar" last out. Old timer has plenty of back class and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Callingahardten) (5-1) - No speed type is racing off his third consecutive layoff and finished second in both starts this past summer at Canterbury Downs. He's won here in the past and will be closing fast.
4th pick: #5 (Teddy the Bear) (10-1) - Stretch out sprinter is going turf to dirt in his second back from a half-year's absence. Speedy sort has a fine record on this course (7-3-0-2) and has gone 9-3-0-3 at this distance in the past.
